During the European trading session on Monday (November 24), the U.S. dollar against the Japanese yen showed a volatile upward trend. The overall trend remained above the short-term moving average, and the bullish momentum dominated the stage.

Basic Analysis

The USD/JPY exchange rate is strengthening again after falling sharply on Friday. Selling pressure on the dollar intensified last week as markets continued to price in expectations that the Federal Reserve could cut interest rates in the xmniubi.coming months - with labor market weakness seen as a more serious risk than high inflation. The probability that the Fed will cut interest rates by 25 basis points in December has climbed to 75% from 44% a week ago.

Rees said that the market is more concerned about the long-term risks of the Japanese economy rather than the short-term impact on the exchange rate. Technical Analysis

USD/JPY is currently in the process of correction within the ascending channel. Bulls encountered temporary resistance at EMA50, and the short-term bullish momentum has weakened. The exchange rate is expected to resume its upward trend, with the target pointing to 158.45.

The KDJ indicator provides additional support for the bullish scenario: the J-line has obvious signs of turning upward, showing that the momentum is gradually restored after short-term oversold, and the probability of a new wave of bullish momentum is increasing. If the exchange rate breaks through the 156.70 mark and continues to stabilize, it will strongly confirm the continuation of the rally from a technical perspective and also mark the breakthrough of the upper track of the downward correction channel.
